Fluctuation viscosity of a solution of wormlike micelles

Dynamic fluctuation phenomena in a solution of wormlike micelles are investigated. The anomalous fluctuation contribution to the viscosity coefficients *η **ρ *is calculated. This contribution is determined by the nonlinear interaction of hydrodynamic modes with the bending mode, which describes the relaxation of the shape of micelles. At high frequencies *”η**μ *behaves as *ω~~*^{ιΜ}. In the low-frequency limit *η **ρ *does not depend on the frequency and is on the order of *(ξ*_{ρ}/ξ*)η *(| is the average distance between crosslinks of the micelles, *ξ *is the persistent length, and *η *is the viscosity of the pure solvent). In the case *ξ*_{ρ}>ξ the value of *η **μ *therefore exceeds the bare viscosity *η.*
