Observation of light-induced drift of ammonia molecules
Light-induced drift of ammonium molecules is observed. In a mixture of molecules 15NH3 -f 14NH3, enrichment with the 15N isotope reaches 97%. It is determined that the excitation of the v2 mode of 15NH3 molecules decreases their frequency of thermalizing collisions with the buffer gas particles.
